We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16. If we later use advertising pixels, retargeting, affiliate tracking, or other cross-context behavioral advertising, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide required choices before those tools launch.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for necessary site functions, security, checkout, account access, order status, analytics, and user preferences.

Necessary cookies are always active because the storefront cannot work properly without them. They support features such as cart persistence, account sessions, checkout, order access, CSRF/security controls, and cookie-consent preferences.

We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode to understand how visitors use the storefront. Before analytics consent, Google Analytics receives cookieless measurements under denied analytics storage. With your consent, Google Analytics may use cookies and similar identifiers such as _ga and related analytics cookies to measure visits, page views, referrers, navigation, clicks, scrolling, and interactions with pages or forms.

You can accept or reject analytics cookies in the cookie banner and can change your choice later through the cookie settings control where available. If analytics consent is not given or is revoked, analytics storage remains denied and Google Analytics must not set analytics cookies.

Browser controls may let you block or delete cookies. Some site features may not work correctly if necessary cookies are blocked.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect and process payment information, device information, fraud-prevention signals, and related transaction data according to its own terms and privacy practices.

Asansara receives payment status, transaction identifiers, amount, currency, and limited method metadata needed to complete and support the order. Asansara does not store full payment card numbers or CVV codes.

8. Address Validation and Google Services

For US checkout, we may use Google Address Validation and Google Places to help complete, validate, or standardize the shipping address before payment. This helps calculate tax, reduce delivery errors, and prevent failed checkout attempts.

If you choose Google Sign-In, Google may provide us with authentication information such as your name, email address, and account identifier so we can create or access your Asansara customer account.

Google Analytics is used with Consent Mode, as described in the cookies section.

9. Email and Marketing Choices

If you subscribe to marketing emails, we may send brand, product, editorial, collection, or event updates. You can unsubscribe through the link in our marketing emails or by contacting us.

Transactional emails about orders, payments, shipping, returns, account security, password reset, or customer service may still be sent when necessary, even if you unsubscribe from marketing.

10. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, you may have rights to:

  • request access to personal information we maintain about you;
  • request deletion of certain personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • request information about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, and disclosures;
  • opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling, where applicable;
  • appeal a privacy-rights decision, where required by applicable state law;
  • be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To submit a request, contact us at support@asansara.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. If you submit a request through an authorized agent, we may ask for proof of authorization and may still ask you to verify your identity directly.

We currently do not sell personal information for money and do not launch advertising pixels, retargeting, affiliate tracking, or cross-context behavioral advertising without additional disclosure and controls.

11. California Privacy Notice

This section provides additional information for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). It supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this section.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following CCPA categories of personal information:

  • identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, postal address, account identifiers, and online identifiers;
  • customer records information (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)), such as name, contact details, and order and payment records;
  • commercial information, such as products viewed, cart contents, orders, purchases, and returns;
  • internet or other electronic network activity information, such as browsing activity, page views, and interactions with the storefront;
  • geolocation data, limited to the approximate location inferred from your IP address;
  • audio, electronic, or visual information, limited to the messages and records you send us through our forms;
  • inferences, only if and when we later enable personalization, drawn from the information above.

We do not collect biometric information, precise geolocation, professional or employment information, education information, or the contents of your mail, email, or messages other than communications you send directly to us.

Sensitive Personal Information

We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you a right to limit its use under the CCPA. Account credentials, such as your password, are handled only to provide and secure your account.

Sources, Purposes, and Disclosures

We collect personal information from the sources described in Section 2, use it for the business and commercial purposes described in Sections 3 and 4, and disclose it to the categories of recipients described in Section 5. In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed identifiers, customer records information, commercial information, payment-related information, and internet or network activity information to service providers and other recipients for the business purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Because we do not sell or share personal information, an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control will not change the data we collect, since no sale or sharing takes place.

Your California Privacy Rights

Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:

  • know and access the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected, the sources, the business or commercial purposes, and the categories of recipients;
  • delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
  • obtain a portable copy of personal information you have provided to us;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable;
  • limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable;
  • not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

You may submit a request using the contact details in Section 17. We will confirm receipt and respond within the timeframes required by the CCPA, generally within 45 days, with an extension where permitted. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding, which may require you to confirm information we already hold about you. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent's authorization and may still ask you to verify your identity directly.

Shine the Light

California's "Shine the Light" law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83) permits California residents to request information about a business's disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties' own direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

Financial Incentives

We do not offer financial incentives, or price or service differences, in exchange for the collection, sale, or retention of personal information.

12. Children's Privacy

The storefront is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the storefront, complete transactions, maintain accounts, comply with tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, and enforce agreements.

Our working retention model is:

  • account data: while the account remains active and as needed for legal, security, or business purposes;
  • order and transaction records: as needed for fulfillment, returns, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and dispute handling;
  • support inquiries: as needed to respond and maintain service history;
  • marketing consent and suppression records: until unsubscribe and as needed to respect unsubscribe choices;
  • analytics data: according to Google Analytics settings and cookie choices, and only while analytics consent remains accepted;
  • security and diagnostic logs: as needed for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and legal protection.

14. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, HTTPS, limited access to operational systems, provider-managed payment collection, server-side secrets handling, logging, monitoring, and separation of payment data from the storefront.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You should use a strong password, keep account credentials confidential, and contact us if you believe your account or order access has been compromised.

Payment card data is collected and processed by Stripe. Asansara does not store full card numbers or CVV codes.

15. International Users

The .com storefront is intended for the US market. We and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated. Material changes should be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated through the storefront or email.
