Jewelry sizing guide

Use these tables as a practical reference before choosing a handmade piece. Ring sizes are the inner diameter in millimeters, wrist sizes the wrist circumference in centimeters. In the United States we show US ring sizes and inches; the tables list every system.

Rings

Our rings are made to the inner diameter in millimeters, sizes 14 to 20 mm. In the United States each size is shown as its US size; checkout and your order confirmation show both, for example 16 mm (US 5.5).

US, UK and Japanese sizes are close equivalents. The EU size here is the inner circumference of our ring, rounded to half a millimeter; the chart below lists standard EU sizes, so the EU figure for the same US size can differ by 0.5.

Fit

Adjust the measured size for the band and the way you wear the ring.

Fit Choose
Narrow band, under 4 mm Your measured size
Wide band, 6 mm and over +0.5 US size (about +0.4 mm); between two of our sizes, choose the larger
Knuckle noticeably larger than the base Between the knuckle and the base, closer to the knuckle
Worn over another ring or in cold weather +0.5 US size (about +0.4 mm); between two of our sizes, choose the larger

How to find your ring size

Measure your finger at rest and at room temperature: finger circumference can shift slightly throughout the day.

  1. The most reliable method is to measure the inner diameter of a ring that already fits the intended finger.
  2. If you do not have a ring, wrap a thin paper strip or non-elastic thread around the base of the finger and measure the circumference in millimeters.
  3. Find the circumference in the table. The ring should pass over the knuckle without sliding off.

Bracelets

Wrist size on a piece is the wrist circumference it is made for, not the length of the bracelet. It is given in centimeters, and in inches in the United States; checkout and your order confirmation show both, for example 16 cm (6.3 in). Bead size is the bead diameter in millimeters everywhere.

Our wrist sizes

Wrist, cm Wrist, in
15 5.9
16 6.3
17 6.7
17.5 6.9
18 7.1
19 7.5

Find your size

Measure your wrist where the bracelet will sit and choose the Wrist size that matches your measurement; if it falls between two of our sizes, choose the larger. Do not add anything to your measurement: the ease is already built in, and the Bracelet column shows the length of the bracelet made for that wrist. Centimeters are on the left, inches on the right.

Centimeters Inches
Wrist Bracelet Wrist Bracelet
14.0–15.0 15–16 5.5–5.9 5.9–6.3
15.1–16.0 16–17 6.0–6.3 6.3–6.7
16.1–17.0 17–18 6.4–6.7 6.7–7.1
17.1–18.0 18–19 6.8–7.1 7.1–7.5
18.1–19.0 19–20 7.2–7.5 7.5–7.9

Fit

Each Wrist size already includes about 1 cm (0.4 in) of ease, as the Bracelet column above shows, which gives a close fit. For a looser fit, choose a larger Wrist size.

Fit Choose
Close, almost no movement The Wrist size that matches your wrist
Comfortable, slightly loose About 1 cm (0.4 in) larger than your wrist
Loose About 2 cm (0.8 in) larger than your wrist

For substantial bracelets, larger beads, or a pronounced center element, choose a comfortable or loose fit. The piece will move around the wrist more freely and will not press when the hand moves.

How to measure your wrist

Measure your wrist at rest and at room temperature: wrist circumference can shift slightly throughout the day.

  1. Wrap a measuring tape around the wrist where the bracelet will sit, usually just below the wrist bone.
  2. The tape should sit close to the skin without pressing into it. If you do not have a tape, use non-elastic thread and measure it with a ruler.
